Nestled in a valley just below the tallest peak in two counties, Valilee Farms is a working farm consisting of more than 400 acres.
The farm received the Outstanding Forest Steward Award from the Virginia Department of Forestry in June 2010 and the Clear Water Farm Award from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation in 2014.
Our farmhouse rental is located about a mile away from the family's apple orchard, which served as Southwest Virginia's home for heirloom apples for many years.
Although the orchard is no longer in commercial operation, you can read more about the apples for which we were famous elsewhere on this site, and even check out some recipes for what are sure to be your new favorite apple dishes.
The farm, located just off the Crooked Road and the Wilderness Road has historical significance, too, as Daniel Boone's oldest son was killed near here by Indians in 1773.
Featuring nearby hiking opportunities, accessibility to hunting and fishing, and located near a wealth of cultural and tourist attractions, our home is perfect to be your family’s home for a stay.
In the summer, you'll enjoy hummingbirds on the front porch or butterflies and hummingbirds out back through the kitchen window.Join us at the family homestead for a weekend, or stay longer.
